Flash floods immerse a number of areas of Gorontalo City

Gorontalo – Flash floods swamped numerous locations of Gorontalo City after unremitting torrential rains lashed over the last couple of days.

Flooding occurred in the areas of Pilolodaa and Dembe in Kota Barat Sub-district, Gorontalo City.

In Dembe, flooding and landslide caused injury to Suri Hamzah, 60, who suffered from a broken leg after being squashed by a stone.

” The landslide caused damage to two houses. Floodwaters immersed several houses and damaged 2 homes and broke down a fence,” Dembe I Village Head Adriyun Katil mentioned.

Flooding likewise immersed a number of roads and interrupted traffic.

A large tree likewise got rooted out on the By Pass roadway in Tamalate area, Kota Timur Sub-district, thereby obstructing access to and from the Governor’s Workplace.
