Acts of Rapid Test Sexual Harassment Suspect Exposed by Previous Victim

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – A woman identified as DD recalled her harrowing experience with a healthcare worker known by the initials EFY. The latter has been named as a suspect of an ongoing sexual harassment investigation, which he committed against victim ‘LHI’ as he was posted at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport to run rapid tests.

According to DD, what she experienced was similar to what had unfortunately happened to LHI. DD told that the harassment took place in July 2020 as she was heading to Lampung from Soekarno-Hatta Airport’s Terminal 3 and had to undergo a rapid test before boarding her flight.

“I departed from Soekarno-Hatta Terminal 3, and did a rapid test there,” DD said.

She said the suspect EFY had acted unprofessionally during the rapid test session as he asked DD personal questions that were considered unethical.

“He was nosey during the whole test. Asking me where at Lampung I was heading to and for how long I would stay there. [EFY] also asked me to bring him souvenirs on my trip back [to Jakarta],” she recalled.

Unfortunately, this was not the end of EFY’s harassment against DD as EFY constantly called her mobile phone during her stay in Lampung. She said that the suspect had illegally obtained her number from the official rapid test form that was supposed to remain confidential.

DD said EFY had sent verbal harassment as the suspect would often use words implying fascination towards her physical appearance. “I told him that it was not professional and that our relationship is strictly doctor and patient, ‘please be professional’,” said DD.

Unfortunately, she found out that what she experienced would not present a strong case in court and decided not to take it to court. “I am not a victim, but I am saying this as proof that doctor Eko has a history of acting out [sexual harassment].”
