Kemayoran emergency medical facility sees decrease in COVID-19 clients

The Wisma Atlet Kemayoran emergency situation medical facility for COVID-19 patients in Central Jakarta has seen a decline in the number of infected patients.

Tugas Ratmono, organizer for the COVID-19 emergency hospital, stated throughout a virtual discussion hosted by the national COVID-19 job force on Monday that home towers 4 and 5 were currently being utilized to treat asymptomatic patients.

Since Monday early morning, the tenancy rates of towers 4 and 5 were 40 and 60 percent, respectively.

For that reason, Slamet prompted the government to offer the necessary supplies required to deal with COVID-19 patients, such as ventilators and medicines.

” The government has programs to decrease the numbers of infections and deaths. If the [doctors] are prepared, however the medicines are unavailable, it’s going to interrupt the health care service,” he said.

Both Tugas and Slamet also encouraged the public to assist flatten the curve by practicing the “3Ms” of health procedures: menggunakan masker(mask-wearing), mencuci tangan(handwashing) and menjaga jarak(social distancing). (jes)
