At least 66 immigrants deported from Bali in Jan-Sept

Denpasar, Bali – The Indonesian migration authorities in Bali province have deported a minimum of 66 foreign nationals over the last 9 months for flouting immigration guidelines, consisting of overstaying and offering incorrect information to gain home authorizations.

The majority of the deportees hailed from Bulgaria, the United States, Ukraine, China, and Russia, head of the public relations and reformation department at the Legal and Human Being Rights Affairs Ministry (Bali Workplace), I Putu Surya Dharma, said here on Wednesday.

The initial deportation reports were acquired from the immigration offices of the Denpasar, Singaraja, and Ngurah Rai International Airport, Dharma stated, adding that Russian nationals remained on top of the list of the deportees.

The Denpasar migration authority alone deported 18 foreign nationals, consisting of three Russians, between January and September this year, while its detention home got 20 more foreign nationals amidst the continuous COVID-19 situation, he stated.

Those lodged at the Denpasar Immigration Detention House presently include people of such countries as Russia, Nigeria, and Kenya, he notified. (INE)
