E-commerce platform contributes 1,000 oxygen cylinders, 1 mln vaccines

It is essential to recognize that we can not combat this pandemic alone, however we must do this together.

Jakarta – Health Minister Budi Gunadi Sadikin got one thousand oxygen cylinders and one million vaccine dosages from e-commerce platform Shopee as COVID-19 assistance.

The contribution is indicated to help the country fulfill the high need for medical oxygen due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases, the minister stated.

” It is necessary to realize that we can not combat this pandemic alone, but we should do this together. It is impossible that we exclusively save specific groups, parts, or companies of our own nation, but we require to inclusively work hand-in-hand with all global communities to tackle this pandemic,” Sadikin said while receiving the oxygen cylinders and vaccines here on Monday.

The Health Ministry will distribute the oxygen cylinders, received at its crisis center on July 10, 2021, to regions with the greatest COVID-19 cases, he informed. The cylinders will be dispersed on a requirement basis to each region, he included.

The oxygen cylinder distribution is anticipated to cover all regions of Indonesia, particularly people who currently require oxygen to recover from COVID-19 infection, Sadikin stated.

If we set narrower targets, the oxygen should be dispersed to areas in Yogyakarta and Central Java. Because some of the greatest oxygen factories in Java Island are located in West Java and East Java, and Central Java lacks circulation and logistics (networks) to fulfill its oxygen requirements,” he revealed.

The federal government can not work alone to tackle the pandemic, he said adding, COVID-19 handling requires numerous stakeholders working together to stem the case development rate and expedite the patient healing procedure.

” It is not possible to make specific programs for our country, however we require to construct a shared movement to use all social capital that all people possess to manage this pandemic,” he stated.
