Govt Allows Trials for Tourist Attractions in Cities with PPKM Level 3

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – The government allows trials of health protocols in tourist attractions in cities with Level 3 PPKM. In the extension of PPKM until September 13, 2021, Jakarta is still at level 3.

The Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian has instructed that the trial of health protocols at tourist attractions must comply with four provisions. One of them is about prohibiting children from entering tourist attractions.

“Children under the age of 12 are prohibited from entering the tourist attractions where this trial is conducted,” reads Tito’s instructions, which Tempo quoted today, September 7, 2021.

The list of tourist attractions participating in the trial will be determined by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Tourist attractions must carry out the health protocols regulated by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy in the Instruction of the Minister of Home Affairs Number 39 of 2021 concerning PPKM Level 4, Level 3, and Level 2 Covid-19 in the Java and Bali Region.

All employees and visitors must be vaccinated against Covid-19. “It is mandatory to use the PeduliLindungi application to screen all visitors and employees.”

Previously, tourist attractions had not been allowed to open in the capital city. The government only allows sports in open spaces with a limited number of people and time. A number of recreational areas were then opened only for sports, such as Ancol and Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII).
