Govt Inaugurates 4 Integrated Jakarta Train Stations Today

IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – State-Owned Enterprises (SOE) Minister Erick Thohir along with Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan and Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi inaugurated four integrated train stations in the capital city today, June 17.

Erick said the integrated stations are the result of the partnership of state-owned railway operator PT KAI and Jakarta administration through PT MRT Jakarta on a joint venture to manage integrated stations.

“These integrated stations show a healthy ecosystem between SOEs, region-owned enterprises, and private parties in providing integrated transportation services for the public,” said Erick as quoted from Antara on Wednesday, June 17.

The four integrated train stations are Pasar Senen, Juanda, Sudirman, and Tanah Abang. This is also President Jokowi’s wish for Jakarta to be a capital city with an integrated transportation management system.

Additionally, the government had managed the areas for online ojek, conventional ojek, bajaj, and minibus such as Jak Lingko, as well as Transjakarta bus stop and micro trans for the sake of passengers’ convenience, he added.

Erick Thohir further explained that the government had also renovated the facilities and infrastructures, including revamping the pedestrian and Transjakarta bus lay-bay, providing signs, and managing street vendors.
