IDNEWSNOW.COM, Jakarta – President Joko Widodo ( Jokowi) asked that, in the next 2 weeks, the Covid-19 response team focuses on 12 regencies/cities that have active cases above 1,000 These locations, Jokowi stated, represent 30 percent of the total active cases across the country.
Jokowi made the statement throughout a closed teleconference meeting that was later published to the Cabinet Secretariat YouTube channel, Monday, October 12.
The 12 regencies/cities are Ambon, Bogor, Depok, Bekasi, Jayapura, Padang, Pekanbaru, Central Jakarta, West Jakarta, South Jakarta, North Jakarta, and East Jakarta.
Jokowi likewise wants stringent monitoring and massive screening performed in eight provinces, along with improvements in tracing and treatment there. The 8 provinces are Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, East Java, North Sumatra, South Sulawesi, South Kalimantan, and Papua.
” Based on stats, East Java and South Sulawesi have revealed better control over Covid-19 I think other provinces can learn from them,” Jokowi said.
